€7 per image (no limit on the number of submissions; entry fees are non-refundable)
Prizes/Awards
- 1st Place ("Photographer of the Month"): Featured prominently in the virtual exhibition; profile interview published on Grid Photo Gallery; priority placement on promotional banners and posters; one free entry in the next open call.
- 2nd & 3rd Places: Highlighted in the virtual exhibition.
- All Selected Entries: Displayed in the main-page exhibition for at least one month, then kept online permanently; promoted via social-media channels; digital certificate of participation; personal profile page on the platform including a link to your website.
- The top three photographs will be eligible for the title "Photography of the Year."
- Selected works may be published in a printed catalog available for purchase.
Core Introduction
Grid Photo Gallery's 2026 open call, "Animals," invites photographers worldwide to submit individual works that engage with animal life in its many forms. The call is open to all photographic approaches — wildlife, documentary, portraiture, fine art, conceptual, studio, and experimental photography. Animals may appear in natural environments, domestic spaces, urban settings, controlled compositions, or symbolic contexts. What matters is the strength of the photographic work and the role the animal presence plays within the image.
The gallery is interested in work that demonstrates visual clarity, sensitivity of approach, and a strong awareness of form. The selection will not privilege one genre or method over another; it will focus on photographs that hold attention through composition, intention, and photographic intelligence. Selected works will be presented in a curated global online exhibition, bringing together diverse ways of seeing and representing animal life in contemporary photography.
