- Open to artists of all nationalities living anywhere in the world; no age or professional restrictions
- No limit on the number of entries per person; each submission requires a separate entry form and separate fee
- Only original artwork accepted; one image per entry
- Works must not have appeared on the cover of another publication and must not be entered simultaneously in any other contest
- Use of Generative AI is strictly prohibited
- Rights to the image must not have been previously sold or granted to any third party
- Judging is anonymous — the artist's name must not appear on the artwork
- No dimension restrictions, but artwork may be cropped to fit the cover space (190 x 195mm)
- Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, or PDF; maximum file size 4MB
- Not compulsory, but works produced within the last three years are preferred
- Standard Fee: €18 per entry (March 1 – October 31, 2026)
- Group entry fees available on request via admin@anthology-magazine.com
- Entry fees are non-refundable
- Winner receives €500 cash prize (paid upon publication of the winning artwork)
- Winning artwork published on the cover of a future issue of Anthology Magazine
- Editorial coverage in print and online
- All artists retain copyright of their work
The Anthology Cover Art Competition is an international visual art competition organized by Anthology Magazine, established to foster and support both established and emerging visual artists and provide a platform for publication. The competition spans multiple visual art genres including painting, printmaking, mixed media, photography, and digital media, with no prescribed theme. Artists are encouraged to refer to Anthology magazine's aesthetic before submitting, though varied styles and subject matter are accommodated. The competition brings traditional and digital visual artists together within an editorial cover-art context, judged anonymously by an independent panel of judges whose decision is final. Submissions must be in JPG, PNG, or PDF format, maximum 4MB; there are no dimension restrictions but artwork may be cropped to the cover space of 190 x 195mm. The winner receives €500, publication on the cover of a future issue of Anthology, and editorial coverage in print and online.
