Competition Category
Single theme: "The World As You See It." A wide range of photographic styles is accepted:
- Street photography;
- Landscapes;
- Natural world & Wildlife;
- Macro photography;
- Lifestyle;
- Object and still life;
- Architectural;
- Technically manipulated work: abstract, panoramic, stitched, and composite — all accepted, with extra merit awarded for creative interpretation of the brief.
Eligibility
Open to all. Open to photographers of all nationalities, living anywhere in the world, of any age or experience level, submitting their own original work.
Entry Fee
Paid. €15 per image from January 1 to April 30, 2026; €18 per image from May 1 to November 30, 2026. One image is permitted per entry, but multiple entries are allowed (fees charged per entry). Entry fees are non-refundable.
- Winner: €500 cash prize plus editorial coverage of the winning photographer in a future issue of Anthology magazine.
- Finalists: showcased on the magazine's website and associated platforms.
- All participants: receive an e-certificate of participation.
- All photographers retain the copyright of their work.
Core Introduction
The Anthology Photography Competition is an annual international photography contest run by the UK-based Anthology magazine, dedicated to celebrating outstanding standalone images with a distinctive point of view and strong visual communication. The single theme, "The World As You See It," calls for submissions judged on quality, creativity, originality, and visual or emotional impact, with extra merit awarded for creative interpretations of the brief. The judging panel consists of independent judges evaluating entries across the same criteria. Open to photographers of all nationalities, ages, and experience levels, the competition accepts street, landscape, nature and wildlife, macro, lifestyle, still life, architectural, as well as technically manipulated work such as abstract, panoramic, stitched, and composite images; however, stock photography and generative AI are not permitted, while composite photography is allowed. Entries must be submitted online in JPEG or PNG format at 72dpi, up to 4MB; finalists must re-submit originals at 300dpi in RAW, JPEG, or TIFF format. The winner receives a €500 cash prize and an editorial feature on the winning photographer in a future issue of Anthology magazine, which has now reached its 25th volume. Previous winners include Hiroto Fukuda (2024), Samuel Sieder (2023), and Sarah Choo Jing (2022).
