The same image may be entered in multiple categories; files must be up to 7MB, JPEG, sRGB, with no watermarks; previously published or awarded photographs are accepted where copyright is retained; fully AI-generated images are not permitted — AI-powered editing tools are allowed only when the image originates from a real photograph taken with a camera.
Open to professional and amateur photographers of all nationalities. Participants under 18 must have parental consent.
Paid entry:
- First photograph: from €18;
- Additional photographs receive automatic volume discounts;
- Same image into an additional category: €10 per extra category;
- Early Bird (until October 16, 2026): 10% off with code earlybird2026.
- Total prize pool: €2,700;
- Photographer of the Year: €500;
- Category winners: €100 each;
- All winners and honorable mentions receive: official certificates, digital badges and a full-year feature in the online Winners Gallery;
- Winning work appears in international promotions, exhibitions and curated stories, with photographer credit;
- Prize money is paid via PayPal or bank transfer;
- Judging criteria: creativity, originality and technical excellence; judged by an international panel of photographers, curators and industry experts.
Photora Awards is an international photography competition organized by Berlin-based Unseen Imaging GmbH; the 2026 edition is the second. It is open to photographers of every level from around the world and features 22 categories spanning landscape, street, cityscapes & skylines, portrait, sports, wildlife, macro & close-up, sunrise & sunset, analog & film, astrophotography, minimalist, smartphone, architecture, fine art, aerial & drone, abstract & experimental, travel & adventure, documentary & photojournalism, long exposure, performing arts & concerts, open theme, and black & white. The same image may be entered in multiple categories. The Early Bird Deadline is October 16, 2026 (10% off with code earlybird2026), the Final Deadline is November 27, 2026 at 23:59 CET, and winners are announced on December 27, 2026. The total prize pool is €2,700 — €500 for the Photographer of the Year and €100 per category — with certificates, digital badges and long-term online exhibition. Entries are judged anonymously by an international jury of photographers, curators and industry experts on creativity, originality and technical excellence. Fees start at €18 for the first photograph with volume discounts for additional images; fully AI-generated images are not allowed, while AI editing tools may be used only when the image originates from a real camera-captured photograph.
