C-IDEA Design Award 2027
C-IDEA Design Union (International Design Educator Union).
A global international competition open to students, professionals and companies worldwide; the award ceremony location will be announced separately by email to winners.
Submission period: September 25, 2026 – January 31, 2027.
Early bird deadline: November 30, 2026.
Winners announcement: March 2027 (ceremony date communicated by email).
Two themes:
01. Free Theme — any design subject is welcome;
02. Artificial Intelligence in Future — ideas exploring the use of AI in service design, sustainable design, medical design, social design and related fields.
The following design disciplines are accepted:
- Visual & Communication Design
- Product Design
- Packaging
- Architecture
- Interior Design
- UI/UX Design
- Fashion
- Lifestyle Accessories
- Film & Animation
- Game Design
- Intelligent Interaction
- Conceptual Design
- And other design disciplines.
Open to design professionals, companies, design groups, institutions, design educators and students. Entries may include completed projects, concepts, or products already brought to market; entries must be the participants' own work.
Student category entrants must be 26 or younger and must provide a student ID if selected.
Paid (in two phases; first student entry is free):
- Early bird (until November 30, 2026): €35 per entry for professionals/companies; first student entry free, each additional student entry €10;
- Regular (December 1, 2026 – January 31, 2027): €50 per entry for professionals/companies; first student entry free, each additional student entry €15;
- Finalist nomination fee (after online preselection, for final jury consideration): €150 per professional entry, €300 per company entry; first student entry free, each additional student entry €50.
Note: submitted registration information and works cannot be modified after submission.
Award levels:
- C-IDEA Grand Award: trophy (free of charge) + certificate + inclusion in the award yearbook + international media coverage + admission to the ceremony; the Grand Award winner may be nominated to join the C-IDEA International Jury;
- Best Design Award in each category: trophy (free of charge) + certificate + yearbook + media coverage + ceremony admission;
- Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards plus other distinctions: certificate + yearbook + media coverage + ceremony admission; trophies must be purchased by winners.
All winners may use the 2027 award logo.
The C-IDEA Design Award is an international comprehensive design competition organized by C-IDEA Design Union, recognizing original work across architecture, interior, product, graphic and other design disciplines worldwide. The 2027 edition offers two themes — "Free Theme" and "Artificial Intelligence in Future" — accepting completed projects, concepts and products already on the market. Entrants must submit their own original work, including participant names, project title, chosen theme and category, a project description of no more than 150 words, and up to four file uploads (images in JPG/PNG, RGB, A4 at 150 dpi, max 5 MB each; or PDF up to 15 MB / 10 pages; videos via an additional media field). An international jury evaluates entries on innovation, artistic and commercial value, social relevance and thematic expression, with selected entrants progressing to final evaluation after online preselection. Awards include the Grand Award, Best Design per category, and Gold/Silver/Bronze levels, with certificates, yearbook features, media exposure and ceremony invitations; trophy is free for Grand and Best Design winners, and the Grand Award winner may be nominated to join the C-IDEA International Jury.
