  • Photography (single themed category; color, black & white, digital, film, and drone photography all accepted; a picture sequence or set counts as one piece of work)

Eligibility

Open to anyone who loves Jeju, regardless of nationality or background. Works must have been photographed on or after October 7, 2025. Each participant may submit a maximum of 5 works. Composite or AI-assisted images are allowed, but the base image must be originally photographed by the applicant; AI may be used only as a supplementary tool.

Prizes/Awards

A total of 5,800,000 KRW (approximately $4,260) in prizes for 14 winners:

  • Grand Prize (1): 2,500,000 KRW + Certificate
  • Gold Prize (1): 1,500,000 KRW + Certificate
  • Silver Prize (2): 500,000 KRW each + Certificate
  • Bronze Prize (1): 300,000 KRW + Certificate
  • Fine Work Prize: 100,000 KRW each + Certificate

Core Introduction

The 18th JEJU International PHOTO Contest is hosted by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and The Dong-A Ilbo, welcoming everyone around the world who loves Jeju Island in South Korea. This year's topic is "Jeju Island – landscapes, nature, culture, public tourist attractions," etc. All photo types are welcome — color, black & white, digital, film, and drone photography. Composite or AI-assisted images are permitted, provided the base image was originally photographed by the applicant and AI is used only as a supplementary tool. Participants may submit a maximum of 5 works, with a picture sequence or set counted as one piece. Through the contest, the organizers hope participants discover and spread the beauty of Jeju Island around the world.
