Core Introduction

The ASEAN Architectural Design Competition 2026, launched by the ASEAN Architects Council, is themed "The River Confluence: Bridging Nature, Culture and Healthy Community." It seeks innovative architectural solutions for a civic building at Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas on the Brunei River waterfront in Bandar Seri Begawan. The building should strengthen community bonds, celebrate heritage, and promote sustainable development. The competition adopts a unified international format, with submissions from all participating member states evaluated at the international level, encouraging broader discourse on innovation, identity, and sustainable urban design across the ASEAN region. Each participant receives a unique 8-digit identification code; all submission materials must be anonymous (no names or affiliations).
