The 7th Bolu International Poster Design Competition is organized by the Department of Graphic Arts of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University as part of the Bolu International Art Hall (BIAH) initiative, running since 2019. The 2026 theme, "Beyond Horizons: Designing a Sustainable Future," invites poster designers to explore sustainability through visual communication and to imagine new perspectives that move beyond established boundaries in knowledge, technology, production systems, and social thinking. "Beyond Horizons" suggests moving beyond existing limits in thought, technology, and society; entries may adopt critical, conceptual, metaphorical, or experimental approaches. The competition aligns with five United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education (SDG 4), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17). Evaluation emphasizes the strength of the message, conceptual approach, and impact on the viewer, aiming to create an international platform where design stimulates dialogue, raises awareness, and contributes to a shared vision of a more sustainable world. The competition is organized independently of the United Nations and operates on a non-profit basis.
