2026 GCSP Prize for Innovation in Global Security

- Submission Categories: No fixed category structure. Open to all disciplines and sectors. Eligible submissions may include new initiatives, technological or conceptual innovations, original research, research publications, institutional accomplishments, or grassroots initiatives addressing global security.
- Eligibility: Open to individuals, groups, and organisations from the private or public sectors, from any country. Projects should go beyond national borders in reach or thinking and address global security in innovative ways. GCSP employees, staff, current fellows, current participants, and their family members are not eligible; a one-year cooling-off period applies after the end of such relationship.
- Entry Fee: No entry fee
- Awards & Benefits: First place receives a CHF 10,000 cash prize by bank transfer and a certificate of excellence. Second and third place receive certificates of recognition, and two additional projects receive honourable mentions. Winners may be publicly named and promoted with project descriptions, media requests, photographs, and interviews.
- Core Introduction: Launched in 2015, the GCSP Prize for Innovation in Global Security recognises bold, original, and impactful contributions to global security. It welcomes cross-sector and interdisciplinary work, with judging criteria focused on sustainable global security, human dignity, security and justice, creativity, and originality.
