Core Introduction
The 8th John Ruskin Prize is an internationally recognised multidisciplinary art prize that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and critical thought inspired by the values of the 19th-century thinker John Ruskin. With the theme “Patience in Looking, Truth in Making,” it encourages artists to respond to global challenges with technical skill and social conscience. Established in 2012, the prize has become one of the UK’s most distinctive art platforms, emphasising the interconnection of art, nature, and society .
