Competition Category
- Reimagining forgotten or overlooked spaces (“nooks and crannies”)
- Uncovering, reclaiming, and transforming tiny leftover spaces, neglected corners, and undefined gaps in the urban fabric
- Participants can create a new project or share an old one
Eligibility
Students .
- Full-time students of architecture and related disciplines (Bachelors, Masters, PhD)
- Participation is open to individuals or teams (max 4 people + 2 advisors)
Entry Fee Paid: The registration fee for international teams is €50.00 .
Prizes/Awards
- Prize Pool: 30,000 € (approx. 251,000 RMB)
- 1st Prize (1 team): 9,000 € (approx. 80,000 RMB)
- 2nd Prize (5 teams): 1,800 € (approx. 15,000 RMB)
- 3rd Prize (12 teams): 900 € (approx. 8,000 RMB)
- Honorable Mentions (several teams): Certificate
- Advisors of prize-winning projects will also be awarded with certificates
Core Introduction
The competition invites students worldwide to reimagine forgotten or overlooked spaces—the “nooks and crannies”—as sites of transformation . It calls for grounded, design-oriented solutions that embrace everyday life, social dynamics, and poetic possibility . The Jury Chair is the 2025 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate, Liu Jiakun .
