Core Introduction: Established in 2001 as one of the first photography events in Poland, Fotofestiwal has grown into one of Europe's most relevant photographic festivals. Since 2016, it has operated as a collective presenting exhibitions, films, slideshows, and workshops in post-industrial spaces in Łódź. The 2027 Open Program seeks artists and collectives with distinctive voices and bold, original perspectives on photography and the contemporary world. An international jury will select six projects to be presented as exhibitions during the festival in June 2027. The 2027 jury panel includes: Jana Johanna Haeckel (artistic director of the 4th photo+ Photography Biennial in Düsseldorf 2027), Marta Szymańska (co-creator of Fotofestiwal), Francesco Rombaldi (founder of Yogurt Editions), Roï Saade (founder of Huwawa Publishing), and Krzysztof Candrowicz (co-founder of Fotofestiwal, former artistic director of the Triennial of Photography Hamburg). Submissions are made via the Picter platform. Contact: opencall@fotofestiwal.com.
