2026 GIDA - The 7th Goldreed Industrial Design Award

The competition includes a Main Competition (Product Group and Concept Group) and a Special Competition. The Main Competition covers 6 categories:
- Manufacturing Equipment: high-end engineering equipment, robots, intelligent manufacturing equipment, smart agriculture, etc.
- Smart Medical Manufacturing: intelligent diagnostic equipment, telemedicine terminals, rehabilitation aids, ageing-friendly products
- Digital Technology: AI, blockchain, digital twin platforms, smart city systems, industrial software, etc.
- Transportation Means: new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, aircraft, mobility tools, unmanned vehicles
- Public Facilities: urban landscape installations, urban furniture, signage, shared service terminals, emergency equipment, artistic sculptures
- Future Scenarios: future home living, child-friendly products, non-heritage revitalization, cultural & creative products, IP images, digital culture, fashion apparel, packaging design
- Open to enterprises and institutions, design agencies, colleges, design teams, scientific research institutions and individuals from any country or region worldwide
- The Special Competition is open exclusively to participants from China
- Entrants must be the designer or rights holder of the entry, with no intellectual property disputes
- The same work may only be submitted to one group and one category
- Product Group: products launched within the past 3 years (i.e., after May 2023), or products that can be launched before the award ceremony (September 2026); physical products or proportionally functional prototypes required for the second evaluation
- Concept Group: original designs not yet sold or produced in the market, with significant innovation in function, structure, form, technology, materials, and low-carbon aspects; prototypes or models required for the second evaluation
Total prize pool of the 7th edition: RMB 4.5 million (excluding Sci-Tech Innovation Vouchers)
- Best of the Best (Highest Award, 1 entry): RMB 600,000
- Gold Awards (6 entries, one per category): RMB 100,000 each
- Future Star Awards (3 entries, highest award in Concept Group): RMB 100,000 each
- Good Design Awards (30 entries): RMB 20,000 each (Good Product Design Award + Good Emerging Design Award)
- Nomination Awards: approximately 100 works
- Sci-Tech Innovation Vouchers: Issued per Xiongan New Area policies, up to RMB 300,000 per enterprise for the Special Competition
- Winner benefits: trophy and electronic certificate, lifetime free use of the "GIDA" logo, industrialization support and incubation, invitation to the award ceremony and Hebei International Industrial Design Week, media interviews and coverage by 200+ global mainstream media, inclusion in yearbook and annual exhibition, government support in Xiongan (financial incentives, talent introduction, listing green channel, enterprise financing), priority application for "Xiongcai Card" (talent card), priority admission to Xiongan Green Building Exhibition Center, etc.
The Goldreed Industrial Design Award (GIDA), established in 2019, is an international, specialized, and market-oriented industrial design prize based in Xiongan New Area, China, with the support of the People's Government of Hebei Province and the Xiongan New Area Administrative Committee. Embracing the Chinese philosophy of "harmony and peace," GIDA is guided by the principle of "facing the future, contributing Eastern wisdom, and spreading design values and spirits to create a better life for mankind," and is committed to building an internationally recognized industrial design award with Eastern cultural characteristics. The 7th edition offers a total prize pool of RMB 4.5 million, with a strong focus on design transformation in combination with the Xiongan Sci-Tech Innovation Voucher mechanism. The Main Competition is divided into Product Group and Concept Group, evaluated independently across six categories: Manufacturing Equipment, Smart Medical Manufacturing, Digital Technology, Transportation Means, Public Facilities, and Future Scenarios. Through an Eastern perspective, GIDA perceives technological progress and social transformation, leading new directions in industrial development, creating new ways of social life, and enabling the harmonious coexistence of humans, nature, and cities.
