Core Introduction
The Architect's Chair Competition Edition #5 invites architects and designers to design a signature chair that embodies their unique architectural vision . Continuing the tradition of renowned architects like Charles and Ray Eames, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, and Arne Jacobsen creating custom furniture as an extension of their architectural work . Participants are encouraged to explore new materials, construction techniques, and ergonomic solutions within the constraints of a chair design, ultimately producing a functional and aesthetically compelling piece of furniture . As the fifth installment in a series of competitions focused on custom furniture design, it encourages participants to think beyond the boundaries of architecture and explore the realm of product design .
