Entrants must be able to give a presentation at the final judging on March 14, 2026 .
Entries must be designs that have never been shown publicly before .

Merit Award: 500,000 JPY
NEW GENERATION AWARD: Up to 10 outstanding entries will be selected from student submissions (from elementary to graduate school) .
Award-winning works may be considered for commercialization by KOKUYO Co., Ltd. .
Core Introduction
The theme for the KOKUYO DESIGN AWARD 2026 is "ripple" . The competition seeks to discover a "future standard" born from a design that emerges from a unique, lived experience, spreading from the micro self toward the macro society and resonating with others .
