Core Introduction

The Super South Poster Design Competition 2027 invites designers, artists, architects, students, innovators and creative thinkers from around the world to visualize the technologies, systems, communities and ideas that will define the next generation of sustainable progress, under the theme "Designing the Future We Imagine". The competition is organized by the Super South Summit, curated by PosterTerritory (led by Olga Severina), and supported by the Atlanta Design Festival and the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA). An international jury of leaders in design, sustainability, innovation, architecture, business, academia and the arts will evaluate entries on originality, creativity, visual impact, conceptual strength, thematic communication and overall execution. The Open category offers four levels — Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze — while a dedicated Student award of $500 is also offered, with total cash awards exceeding $5,000. Entries must be 24″ × 36″ vertical PDFs, 300 DPI CMYK, max 10MB; the entry fee is US$25 for up to three posters; works must be created since January 2026 and must not have received prior awards (photographs are not accepted). The submission deadline is January 15, 2027 at 11:59 PM EDT; the jury will deliberate between February and early March 2027, with around 100 finalist designs announced on March 1, 2027 and professionally printed and exhibited at the Super South Summit in Atlanta (March 22–24). All participants receive a digital Certificate of Participation, and shortlisted and award-winning works will also enjoy online gallery display, international coverage and future touring exhibition opportunities.
