- Trendy Toy IP Design Special Competition: Attracting original IP works to participate and land in Shipai, Dongguan, building a "Global Trendy Toy IP Design Landing Transformation Center"
- Smart Fashion Design (Smart Wearable) Special Competition: Calling for smart wearable and fashion tech works with innovation, artistry, marketability and feasibility, linked with "Industrial Culture Innovation Development Competition · 2026 AI Future Design Competition"

- Open to enterprises, institutions, colleges, individuals or teams from China and overseas
- All entries must, in principle, be original works completed after January 2025
- Must have independent intellectual property rights and strong industrialization characteristics
- Unlimited number of entries per unit or institution
- The same work can only be submitted to one category
- Product Group is mainly for registered enterprises and units in Dongguan
- Concept Group is open to global designers, makers, university students and design enthusiasts

The 2026 "Dongguan Cup" International Industrial Design Competition (DID Award), hosted by the People's Government of Dongguan Municipality, is China's first large-scale industrial design competition named after a city. Since its establishment in 2005, the competition has run for 21 editions, attracting over 4,000 enterprises, approximately 80,000 designers, and more than 80,000 entries from nearly 20 countries and regions. It has become one of the most well-known and influential industrial design competitions in China.

With the mission of "Design Empowers Industry, Innovation Drives the Future," this year's competition aims to build an industrial design innovation exchange platform, gather high-quality design resources, promote the deep integration of design and manufacturing, and help build "Dongguan · City of Manufacturing Aesthetics."
The competition features a million-yuan prize pool with two core tracks (Product Group and Concept Group), plus three featured industry special competitions (Trendy Toy IP Design, Smart Fashion Design / Smart Wearable, and Fashion Design). New initiatives include the National AI Design Challenge and the Design Going Global Platform, comprehensively promoting design innovation and industry integration.
