Core Introduction
Poster for___. is an international poster competition built around an open question: what are you designing posters for? As the world grapples with pressing issues such as environmental protection, education and water safety — subjects of widespread attention and intense debate — poster design carries growing power to effect change. The project is a call to action, inviting designers and artists across the globe to express their stance through posters and make the world aware of their chosen cause. The 6th edition offers five thematic categories — climate, technology, art, culture, and the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals — together with a new hand-drawn poster category (F) for participants under 19, with unlimited submissions. Awarded and selected designers receive trophies and certificates, see their work on Times Square billboards and permanently on the official website; past exhibitions have taken place in New York, Beijing, Qingdao, Dalian and other cities.
