Core Introduction

In 2026, the "Handmade Ceramic Heritage of Jingdezhen" was successfully inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Seizing this milestone, the competition is themed "New Starting Point for World Intangible Cultural Heritage · Designing the Future of Jingdezhen," rooted in Jingdezhen's millennia-old ceramic culture and traditional intangible ceramic craftsmanship. Guided by the core philosophy of "Earth and Fire Forging Art, Ceramics Initiating Innovation, Industry-Education Synergy, Practical Empowerment," the competition emphasizes the role of industrial design in driving the innovative transformation of traditional crafts, encouraging the integration of ceramic materials, techniques, forms, and functions with modern lifestyles, new technologies, and new processes. The competition follows a three-tier system: school-level → provincial → national, building a full transformation pipeline from "creative collection — professional evaluation — design refinement — physical prototyping — industrial matching," advancing outstanding creative works from concept to product and from design outcomes to market results, injecting new design, new talent, and new momentum into the future of Jingdezhen's ceramic industry.
