2026 The 10th Foshan Mayor Cup Industrial Design Competition

Hosted by the Foshan Municipal People’s Government; organized by the Foshan Bureau of Industry and Information Technology; co-organized by Guangdong Industrial Design City.
Deadline:
Entry information should be completed by August 31, 2026. Final submission and revisions close on September 10, 2026. The preliminary review is scheduled for September 2026; the semi-final and final review will take place from September to October 2026; summary and promotion activities are scheduled for November to December 2026.
Submission Category:
The competition includes four main groups: AI Application, Product Design, Concept Design, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship Team. The AI Application Group covers intelligent robots and smart integrated terminals. The Product Design Group covers equipment manufacturing, medical devices, green design and new energy, household appliances, home and living products, elderly/child-care products, and general categories. The Concept Design Group follows the same nine categories across AI and product design.
Eligibility:
The AI Application Group is open to Foshan-registered industrial enterprises, software and IT service companies, AI technology providers, research institutes, universities, and affiliated institutions. The Product Design and Concept Design Groups are open to domestic and international enterprises, institutions, universities, vocational colleges, social organizations, independent designers, and innovation teams. The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Team Group is open to innovative enterprises registered in Foshan and established after January 1, 2022. Entries should generally be original works completed after January 1, 2025, with clear and independent intellectual property rights.

Awards & Benefits:
The total support fund pool is RMB 5 million. The AI Application Group offers 2 Gold, 5 Silver, 10 Bronze, and 18 Innovation Awards; the Product Design Group offers 3 Gold, 7 Silver, 12 Bronze, and 24 Innovation Awards; the Concept Design Group offers 1 Gold, 3 Silver, 8 Bronze, and 20 Innovation Awards. The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Team Group offers 10 Outstanding Team Awards. Additional awards include 20 Excellent Mentor Awards and 10 Outstanding Organization Awards. Winners may receive certificates, trophies, and support funds; outstanding organizations receive certificates.
Core Introduction:
The 10th Foshan Mayor’s Cup Industrial Design Competition is themed “AI renews industrial upgrading, design empowers the integration of manufacturing and services.” It focuses on AI, advanced manufacturing, product innovation, scenario reconstruction, and industrial upgrading, aiming to strengthen the Foshan industrial design brand and accelerate the commercialization and industrial application of outstanding design outcomes.
