Eligibility:
- Open to illustrators at all levels, art directors, graphic designers, educators, students, recent graduates, editors, and publishers in all countries
- Work must be produced or published between March 2025 and 27 March 2026
- AI-generated imagery is not eligible for submission
Entry Fee:
- Starts at $20 USD, varies depending on the show entered and type of work submitted
- Entries uploaded after 27 March 2026 will be assessed a $10 per entry late fee
Prizes/Awards:
- Best of Show: $1,500 cash prize and a 3×3×3-inch cube trophy
- Gold medal winners: Inclusion in the 3×3 Collective ($850 cash value) and a 3×3×3-inch cube trophy
- Silver medalists: A 3×3×3-inch cube trophy
- Other medalists, merit, and distinguished merit winners: A free digital certificate or the option to receive a distinctive embossed certificate
- Gary Powell Student Award winner: $1,000 cash prize, a special 3×3×3-inch cube trophy, and a two-page feature in the Annual
Core Introduction: The 23rd annual International Illustration Awards Show by 3x3 Magazine is open to illustrators at all levels in all countries. The competition seeks fresh ideas that enlarge the scope of illustration, images that engage viewers, provoke thought, and deepen appreciation for the craft of illustration. It celebrates image-makers who are either on the brink of greatness or those who continue to prove themselves year after year. Last year's judges reviewed over 5,200 entries from 44 countries and 99 schools.
